hey everybody. i noe i havent blogged in super long. and i think its gonna stay that way for a while. haha.

was bored. so decided to go play on blogthings. took more than 2 quizzes but i thought these were the most important. haha.

so yeah. well someone i noe posted an entry on their blog about how ppl shdnt be bitchy and all. but that matter's been settled so lets not pursue it further shall we. (:

well anyway i went to watch simpsons movie yesterday. i'd give it a 3.5/5 rating. because of the high humour factor but marked down for the general lack of plot. but yeah. it was hilarious. i kept laughing in the movie. and my fave part: 'thank you boob lady' hehe. and where she swings her boobs from side to side and then it points homer in the correct direction. its so funny. haha. if u go watch, u'll truly enjoy it.

speaking about watching things, i was watching my school's national day concert borefest yest. god it was SO bloody boring. first we have some person talking to us about racial and religious tolerance. (im sorry but youre 20 days late. racial harmony day is OVER). then you have 2 completely irrelevant performances by the guitar and militaryband. and then we have an re group with their chinese opera performance. it was so.... enriching. i was enthralled. nice job guys. and to end it all off. we had a massacre of the songs home and where i belong by our choir, raffles voices. (the first guy who sang was good. not sure if the second is from voices though...) but nabil and i truly enjoyed the singing part and sang our hearts out. haha. that was the only fun part. otherwise, like i said, it was a borefest.

thats what i got to watch yesterday. today, however, i was watching what my nation could do. on the 34 inch screen. it made me cry. and i normally dont feel things. i watched the show segment. and was actually quite bored. however, the finale is what truly made me cry. i was so proud of my nation, celebrating as one, how far we've come. the fireworks, mixed together with tunes that sporeans are familiar with. it was truly heartwarming. lots of things were running thru my mind at the time. how we're still strong after all these years, how we've progressed, how innovative we are. even the floating stadium is a remarkable achievement. at the end of the day, i believe it all boils down to pride. like a mother is proud of her son, we should be proud of singapore, the beautiful island city that we have made our own. i am proud and glad that i am sporean. and wherever i may go, this is the place i will always call home.
